Who it is for

Individuals or legal persons in whose favour a power of attorney has been granted in the Social Security powers of attorney register when such powers  require express acceptance.

What you can do

Allows the authorised person to accept specific powers that have been granted in their favour  to act in the ambit of Social Security and require  their express acceptance .

What you need to do it

Have powers pending acceptance in the register.

Please note

The express acceptance of the authorised person is  necessary in cases they must receive online/phone communications or notifications and in the case of powers of attorney by subject. The authorised person has a maximum period of  of one month from the granting of the power of attorney to accept it. Where express acceptance  is required, power of attorney shall only take effect from the date on which the acceptance is recorded in the register.
