Exercising personal data protection rights < Go back

This service allows the exercise of the rights regarding the protection of personal data recognised in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data and in Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights.

What you can do

Submit an application for the exercise of personal data protection rights through the Electronic Register of the Secretary of State for Social Security and Pensions.

Please note

  • To submit the application, you must identify yourself and sign the application using a digital certificate or Cl@ve username and password.
  • If you are acting as a representative, you must provide proof of representation by any legally valid means that provides a reliable record of the representation.

If you do not have electronic identification you can fill in the following form form and submit it to the network of registration offices.

Next steps

Upon receipt of the form, the controller must inform the citizen within one month of receipt of the request. This period may be extended by a further two months, the person responsible informing the interested party of such extensions within one month of receipt of the application and stating the reasons for the delay.

If the controller does not act on the data subject's request, it shall inform the data subject without delay, and at the latest within one month of receipt of the application, of the reasons for its failure to act, of the possibility of lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority and of taking legal action.
