State retirement (as a representative) < Go back

Cerrar

Access to the Retirement Application for representatives has been made available through the Your Social Security Portal. This service will allow non-proxy representatives (any representative not registered in the Register of Proxies) to submit retirement applications on behalf of others, subject to authorisation by those they represent by means of a link that they will receive via SMS on their mobile phone. To use this service, it is necessary for the representative to have a Digital Certificate or permanent Cl@ve and for the represented party to have their mobile phone registered in the Social Security databases.

RD 453/2022, which regulates the determination of the causal event and the economic effects of the retirement pension, has been in force since 16 June 2022. Therefore, when setting your retirement date, you should bear the following in mind:

In general terms, the date of your retirement will be the date you indicate, and on that date your situation will be verified (Social Security Enrolment, not registered or situation assimilated to inscription) and the requirements for access to the pension.

However, some situations have their own specialities:

  • If you are registered with Social Security because you are working and you want to retire after employment termination, the retirement date you must indicate is the date of the last day you worked.

  • If you are receiving an unemployment benefit or allowance that has ended or is going to end because you have reached your normal retirement age, you must indicate the day on which you reach this age.

Please note that the pension always starts to be paid from the day after the date of retirement (unless you apply more than three months after the date of retirement, in which case the financial effects are backdated by a maximum of three months).

You can use this service to apply via the Electronic Register for the state retirement pension, on behalf of another person.
