Accreditation of a Social Security number < Go back

With this service you can consult your Social Security Number-NUSS or Affiliation number-NAF, in addition to viewing, saving or printing a report identifying you as a taxpayer in your relations with the Social Security.

About this procedure

Who it is for

To  people who have already a NUSS or a NAF assigned.

The NUSS is compulsory for any citizen who is in receipt of pensions, allowances or social security benefits. It is also compulsory prior to affiliation or registration with any Social Security scheme.

The NUSS is transformed into the NAF at the moment when the citizen starts, for the first time, a work activity that determines his/her inclusion in the Social Security System.

What you can do

  • Consult your NUSS or your NAF. In case you do not have NUSS or NAF the service reports your absence.
  • Obtain a report containing the CEA code (Electronic Authenticity Code) with which you can check its authenticity by going to the Social Security Document Integrity VerificationService.
  • Save the report in PDF format or print it.

Please note

In addition to being able to consult your NUSS or NAF, the report obtained includes the Name and Surname, DNI or NIE, indicating that either the NUSS or NAF must be included in your applications for any type of benefit or service from the General Treasury of the Social Security, from the Management Entities or Collaborators of the Social Security  or from the State Public Employment Service.

You can consult your NUSS or your NAF without the need to have a means of authentication such as an electronic ID card, an electronic certificate or the Cl@ve system, as long as the mobile phone number and date of birth, which you provide in your application for access via SMS, match the data that the Social Security General Treasury has about you.
