Direct debit from a bank account < Go back

Through this service you may apply for a bank transfer for Social Security payments from the financial institution of your choice or change the bank account.

About this procedure

Who it is aimed at

Subjects liable for contribution payments:

  • Self-employed workers:
    • Special Scheme for Self-employed Workers
    • Special Scheme for Self-Employed Sea Workers
    • Special System for self-employed agricultural workers. (SETA)
  • Other subjects liable for payment:
    • Special System for Domestic Employees.
    • Special System for agricultural workers employed by another person in inactivity. 
    • Special Agreements.

What does it allow you to do

  • Apply for  automatic bank transfer of payments.
  • Change the bank account. The bank account can be changed whether the worker is registered or deregistered in the scheme to which the contributions correspond.
  • Get a receipt for the submitted application.

To be taken into account

The communication of the bank account will be effective on the following dates:

- If it is made between the 1st and 10th of the month, it will take effect in the same month.
- From the 11th they will be effective the following month.

Except in the case of self-employed persons, which are as follows:

- If it is made between the 1st and 13th of the month, it will take effect in the same month.
- From the 14th day onwards it will be effective the following month.

The selected financial institution must be authorised as a collaborator for this method of payment by the Social Security Treasury General.
