Application for moratorium on payment < Go back

Through this service, provided that a provision with the status of law establishes it as a palliative measure in the face of damage or harm caused by climatic, geological or any other type of event, the companies and self-employed workers affected may request and obtain a moratorium of up to one year without interest on the payment of Social Security contributions and for joint collection concepts.

Who it is aimed at

  • Household employers
  • Self-employed workers included in the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA)
  • Self-employed workers included in the Special Scheme for Sea Workers (RETAMAR)

To be taken into account

Applications for each of the periods indicated must be made within the first ten days of the respective statutory deadline for payment of contributions.

In the case of self-employed workers included in the Special Scheme for Seafarers (scheme 0825), and Employers of the Special Scheme for Household Employees (0138), the moratorium can be requested in respect of the contributions corresponding to the following settlement periods:

  • March, applications may be made between 1 and 10 April inclusive.
  • April, applications may be made between 1 and 10 May inclusive.
  • May, applications may be made between 1 and 10 June inclusive.
  • June, applications may be made between 1 and 10 July inclusive.

In the case of workers included in the special scheme for self-employed workers (scheme 0521), the moratorium can be requested in respect of the contributions corresponding to the following settlement periods:

  • April, applications may be made between 1 and 10 April inclusive.
  • May, applications may be made between 1 and 10 May inclusive.
  • June, applications may be made between 1 and 10 June inclusive.
  • July, applications may be made between 1 and 10 July inclusive.
