Who it is for

Freelancers or self-employed workers included in the first group of the Special Regime for Seafarers who are beneficiaries of the reduction of quotas for initial registration (flat rate) and/or their proxy, if applicable.

What you can do

This service allows the waiver or extension of the fee reduction for initial registration (flat rate) to be processed.

Please note

Waiver

• If you waive the flat rate, you will not be able to reapply.
• By waiving the flat rate, you can choose a contribution basis adjusted to your returns. For more information, see How do I choose my contribution basis?
  
  
• Deadlines:
  • At any time during the period of enjoyment of the flat rate.
  • The resignation shall take effect on the first day of the month following the month in which it was communicated.

Extension

• You can apply for an extension of the flat rate when you foresee that your returns will be lower than the Minimum Professional Wage.
• In general, if you took advantage of the flat rate after 1 January 2023, you can apply to extend it for a further 12 months. If you have a recognised disability equal to or greater than 33% or if you are a victim of gender violence or a victim of terrorism, you can apply for an extension for a further 36 months.
  
  
• Deadlines:
  • You can apply for it before the expiry of 12 full calendar months or, where applicable, 24 months if you have a recognised disability equal to or greater than 33% or if you are a victim of gender violence or a victim of terrorism.
  • The extension of the benefit shall apply from the day following the end of the first 12 full calendar months or, where applicable, 24 months.
