Electronic certificates

In all cases it is necessary to review the requirements indicated in the General requirements section and in the setup manual for the browser that you want to access with, beforehand.

Digital Certificate

To access the electronic services that offer this authentication method, you will need to have a qualified electronic certificate recognised by Social Security.

Cl@ve

Cl@ve is an electronic identity verification platform for the identification and authentication of citizens. It allows you to identify yourself to Public Administrations with full security guarantees.

Modes of access

The Cl@ve platform supports several modes of access:

  • The qualified digital certificate.

  • Cl@ve Mobile: Electronic access system to public services that allows citizens to authenticate themselves in the procedure they are carrying out in the e-Office. The system a QR code to be scanned that avoids the need for users to enter their identification data on the access screen. If the QR code can't be scanned, the authentication request that will be sent to the Cl@ve APP can be confirmed.

  • Cl@ve Permanent is a long-term (but not unlimited) password system for regular users. Corresponds to the system accessed with a username and password. This will also be the system that enables access to a signature in the cloud.

Cl@ve Registration

To be able to use a Cl@ve Mobile or Cl@ve Permanent you must be previously registered on the system. You can do so online or at any Cl@ve Registration Office. It should also be noted that certain services of the Social Security Administration Office may require an advanced cl@ve registration. In such cases, online registration is not sufficient. For more information on the registration process and its use, please refer to the official Cl@ve website.

Access with a qualified digital certificate via the Cl@ve platform does not require previous registration.

Via SMS

Some e-Office procedures can be carried out using a temporary password provided via SMS to your mobile phone. Access the list.

You can communicate your mobile phone number to Social Security via the following service Submit a telephone number or email address. This service requires authentication by digital certificate or permanent Cl@ve. If you do not have these authentication methods, you can submit a request.
