    The current accessible Electronic Office

The Social Security e-Office is committed to ensuring accessibility of its content to all citizens in compliance with the Law on Services of the Information Society and E-Commerce for Public Administration websites, and in compliance with the principles of accessibility and universal design established in art. 4. c) of Law 11/2007, of 22 June, on electronic access by citizens to public services, respecting the guidelines of the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) a body created by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), to report on, research and promote web accessibility.

The WAI has established three levels of accessibility: "A", double "A" and triple "A”. Each of these levels requires compliance with certain rules or principles.

Currently we have reached the double "A" level in content accessibility. The pages of the website were tested with the WAT (Web Accessibility Test) programme.

    Achievements:

    • Updated on 5 April 2016.
    • All the pages of this Portal comply with all the priority 2 verification points (Double A level adaptation) specified in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The site complies with the UNE 139803:2012  standard.
    • All its pages have been validated as HTML and CSS 3 and its accessibility has been analysed with the WAT tool, achieving Double-A (AA) level.
    • Level of compliance: A and AA.
    • List of pages included in the declaration of conformity: https://sede.seg-social.gob.es/*
    • List of web content technologies:
      • JavaScript: JavaScript behaviour has been implemented in an unobtrusive manner. Therefore, although it may improve the user experience, you do not need JavaScript enabled to access all the content.
      • CSS: The visual aspect of this site is defined by CSS, meaning that it can be disabled at any time if your browser has the appropriate contextual menu. The style sheet is valid and standard, as can be verified using the W3C CSS validator. The size of the font has been defined in relative units to allow for scaling via the corresponding menu in the user's browser. Each image has appropriate alternative (alt) text. When necessary, support text has been included through the title attribute. The only exception affects decorative images, where alternative texts and titles would be redundant for screen reader users; for this reason, they have been given null alt text (alt="").
    • Page structure: This is designed with a common format for: content pages, content header area, footer area and central area, making it easier to learn the structure of documents and navigation through a clear and orderly structure.
    • Images: A sufficient level of contrast between the background and the images has been established through the use of suitable colour combinations. In addition, alternative text has been incorporated into images, allowing users to interpret these images. This functionality is also useful for those who have image display disabled in their browser.
    • Language identification: Language is identified on web pages and inserted documents, where appropriate.
    • Tables: All existing tables on the website have had the necessary code incorporated for correct interpretation by voice browsers and online reading.
