The amendment request service for the partnering Mutual Society and RETA contingency coverage for the upcoming year has been updated which, until 21 September 2020, will also allow the concerned party to request a change from INSS to a Mutual Society, in accordance with the tenth additional provision of Royal Decree-Law 15/2020, of 21 April.


This service allows the concerned party to request a change of the Mutual Society and the amendment of coverage details regarding Temporary Disability, Work-Related Injury/Occupational Disease and Cessation of Activity for the upcoming year. It will also allow workers to take out coverage with a partnering Mutual Society in cases where the self-employed worker has the common and professional contingencies covered with the Spanish National Social Security Institute - INSS.

Who it is for

Affiliated persons and employers who have registered contribution account codes or Social Security registration numbers.

  • Affiliated persons: can log in using the Cl@ve service (username and password), or using a digital certificate.
  • Employers: can log in using the Cl@ve service (username and password), or using a digital certificate.
  • Companies: can log in using a digital certificate.

What you can do

Amend coverage details for the upcoming year (Temporary Disability, Work-Related Injury/Occupation Disease and Cessation of Activity, as well as request a change of the partnering Mutual Society.

Any RETA worker who has not previously taken out coverage with a partnering Mutual Society and has maintained their coverage with the National Institute of Social Security, may apply for the option of a Mutual Society in accordance with the provisions of the Tenth Additional Provision of Royal Decree-Law 15/2020, of April 21. This change  will take effect on 01/11/2020.

Be registered.

Please note

In the event of requesting change of Mutual Society Coverage for the upcoming year and, at the time of the request, the concerned party has another non-INSS or non-ISM Mutual Society, they will need to comply with the regulations in force at the time and terminate, where appropriate, the accession document with the current Mutual Society where they have their coverage. If it is not done by the current Mutual Society, the requested change may be denied.
