Professional maritime and health training courses from the Social Marine Institute < Go back

This service allows you to apply, via Electronic Register, for the courses included in the Annual Maritime and Healthcare Vocational Training Plans of the ISM.

About this procedure

Who it is for

For sea workers and any other persons who want to work in the fishing sector.

What you can do

  • Submit an Electronic Register application.
  • Download and attach an application form.
  • Attach documentation.

What you need to do it

  • Fill in and attach the application form.
  • Have software that enables you to fill in and save the application form to be attached.
  • To submit the application you will need your DNI/NIE/PASSPORT number, Social Security Affiliation no., Medical Examination, Employment request (where appropriate).
  • Attach a certified copy of the documents listed in the instructions.

Please note

If you are logging in with a Username + Password (permanent Cl@ve), in order to guarantee a higher level of security, you will be sent a code via SMS to the mobile number that you provided at the time of registration. You must enter this code in order to sign the communication in the electronic register.

The total size of the documents to be attached may not exceed 10 Mb.

By signing the training course application form, you hereby declare that the data included therein are true and authorise the ISM to use these data electronically for the purpose of managing training and employment actions.

If you authorise with your signature, we will access the identity and residence verification data (art. 11 of Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on Personal Data Protection; and section five, point 3 of the Appendix to Order PRE/3949/2006, of 26 December; and section five, point 3 of the appendix to Order PRE/4008/2006, of 27 December) and any other personal, employment or professional data necessary to accredit compliance with the requirements in order to resolve the application for access to maritime and healthcare vocational training.

If authorised, email will be used for certain formalities (specifically communications on selecting course attendees) as a preferential means of communication.

In case of any type of non-compliance (Resolution of 5 June 2013 of the Social Marine Institute, developing and implementing Order TAS/167/2008, of 24 January, which regulates maritime and healthcare vocational training of the Social Marine Institute), the relevant effects shall apply.

Next steps

Once the process has been completed, you will receive a “proof of receipt” in PDF format.

If you do not receive the confirmation message, or if you receive an error or failed sending message, you should resubmit the application at another time or use other channels.

Resolution of the application, notification of the beneficiary of the training, offer of a place at any edition of the type of course requested, acceptance of the place and attendance by the beneficiary. The ISM will issue the relevant call and the beneficiary must be present at the start of the course and meet current regulations.
