This service enables beneficiaries of workers in the Special Scheme for Seafarers to apply, via Electronic Register, for orphanhood benefits covered by Community Regulations or a Bilateral Agreement.
For those beneficiaries of workers in the Special Scheme for Seafarers wishing to apply for orphanhood benefits in cases where the deceased originator was covered by Community Regulations or a Bilateral Social Security Agreement.
The total size of the documents to be attached may not exceed 5 Mb.
Please note that there is a time limit on the online session and if this expires while you are completing the form, you will have to start a new session and complete any parts of the form that were not yet completed.
Once you have completed the procedure you will receive "proof of receipt" (zip) comprising the application receipt in PDF format and the server signature that guarantees that the transaction was completed correctly.
If you do not receive the confirmation message, or if you receive an error or failed sending message, you should resubmit the application at another time or use other means.
The Social Marine Institute will send the decision regarding the application to the address of the interested party.
