CLAIMING BENEFITS WITHOUT TRAVELLING

You can apply for benefits without having to travel.

We recommend that you carry out your procedure, provided you have an electronic ID card, electronic certificate or cl@ve password, through the Your Social Security portal or through our E-Office.

If you do not have an electronic certificate or a cl@ve user, you can request it in person by making an appointment through the Social Security Electronic Office, by clicking on Citizens, prior appointment for pensions and other, and other procedures and Access to the service without a certificate.

Remember that you can also request an appointment by telephone or in person at the INSS on 901 10 65 70 / 91 541 25 30 .

Please note that to obtain the digital certificate, before going to the office you must obtain an application code from the FNMT website and bring it to the office on the day of the appointment.

In addition, if you do not have a cl@ve certificate or user you can use the "Application and procedures of Social Security benefits (National Social Security Institute)" service to send us your application. To do so, please send us the official template of the application you wish to carry out, which you can download from the Forms and templates section of our website.

As part of the appointment options, we also offer you the service  by telephone by appointment,  where we will contact you on the day and time set to provide you with the information or the procedure you request without you having to be present at our offices or, if necessary, provide you with an appointment at our Centres. To do so, make an appointment as explained above and select the telephone service option.

Remember that you can also complete procedures online, at any time and without travelling, at this e-Office. You can also call the 901 16 65 65 and 915 42 11 76 telephone numbers or you can send us your queries by writing.

  • Before requesting an appointment, please look at the various reasons that we have suggested and select the reason that best applies to your needs. We will try to give you enough time at your arranged appointment to resolve all of your issues.
  • Further information on the CAISS is available at the directory of Social Security Offices. If you are unable to obtain an prior appointment in your preferred CAISS, you may make an appointment in a different centre. If necessary you can attend any CAISS in person.

When it is applied for by professional representatives (Managers, Lawyers, Social Graduates, etc.) the following must be taken into account:

  • It must be accessed using a digital certificate.
  • In accordance with Procedural Law, the electronic services available for presenting applications and documents must be given preference.
